  6.     This program is freeware written by Ray Geide and

  10.     Maybe no one is like me, but you should see my 
  11. Add/Remove Programs list.  It is full of broken links.  
  12. The only way to remove them is to open up the Registry 
  13. and try to figure out where the Uninstall entries are.  
  14. I'm too lazy to do this more than once a year, so I 
  15. wrote Add/Remove Pro.

  17.     Each Entry in Windows Add/Remove Programs list has 
  18. additional information in the Registry about how to 
  19. uninstall it.  The Uninstall String is usually part of 
  20. this information.  This is a Link to an uninstall 
  21. program and parameters passed to it.
  22.     Add/Remove Pro checks the Link to see if it points 
  23. to available files and if not, if the destination drive 
  24. may be a removable disk that isn't present.
  25.     Because of long filenames and parameters it is hard 
  26. for Add/Remove Pro to be perfect when detecting if the 
  27. link is good.  So sometimes Add/Remove Pro says that a 
  28. link is bad when it isn't and vice versa.  You can use 
  29. the Checker to see if the link is valid or not.  If you
  30. find a link that Add/Remove Pro has identified 
  31. improperly please copy the Uninstall String from the
  32. Checker and send it to me by email (geide@superwin.com).

  36.     Removing entries from the registry will not 
  37. decrease the size of the registry until the Registry is 
  38. exported and rebuilt.  WinRescue can perform this.  It's 
  39. process for doing this is called RegPack.
  40.     WinRescue is Shareware and may be downloaded from
  41. our website at http://superwin.com/.
  42.     I recommend that before you do anything to the 
  43. registry that you back it up with WinRescue.  If 
  44. Windows95/98 crashes, WinRescue can restore it in 
  45. minutes.  WinRescue can return the registry to a 
  46. previous configuration, make and restore backups, and 
  47. rebuild the registry.  For more information go to our
